Plate capture
The act of recording a vehicle's plate, either manually (officer types it) or automatically (camera reads it).
Plate capture is the foundation of every modern parking enforcement workflow. Manual capture is a fallback — the officer types the plate into the patrol app, optionally takes a photo. Automatic capture (ANPR/LPR) is what scales: a camera reads every plate that crosses its field of view and the system reconciles each plate against active permits, reservations, and the watchlist. ParkDwell supports both; most properties run automatic on the gates and manual in the lots.
